For my oil pastel landscape, I did a landscape of a desert with orange sand domes and a blue sky. I also added a few trees into my painting. I added a peach-orange color for desert ground. I used color effectively in this painting by adding some orange under the skyline to dull it a little bit. I wish I would have added different values into my painting. I think the texture in the sand looks good and brings them out. One thing I should have worked on is the form of the tress and make them look a little bit more real.
